SENART, FRANCE--Friendly Island professional ballplayer Rene Leveret hit a homerun and fellow Islander Omar Williams went one for three with a single to propel the French national team over Germany 3-2.
Three local ballplayers made the France team. In addition to Leveret and college student Williams, professional player Felix Brown is helping France compete in the European Championship in Germany.
Last week, the French team hosted a Championship warm up. France lost only one game while Leveret blasted six homeruns in the five-game Yoshiba Baseball Tournament.
France faces Great Britain Saturday.
