The Walichi Basketball Association was established at the Boekhoudt Notary in Point Blanche, Thursday. Present at the signing were Notary Meredith M. Boekhoudt, association president Silvia Monte, treasurer Agnes Monte and secretary Chiaira Bowers. Walichi's first major event will be the Ladies Basketball Championship set to open October 5 at Melford Hazel Sport and Recreation Center.
