PHILIPSBURG--Dynamics Sporting Club won two gold, four silver and four bronze medals at
the second annual Culturama Games in Nevis on Sunday.
Participating countries were, Anguilla, St. Kitts, Montserrat, St. Maarten, Cuba, Antigua, and Nevis.
Dynamics Travelled to Nevis with 9 athletes 3 coaches and 6 supporters.
The Games started on time and mid-way through the competition heavy rain, wind, thunder and lightning hampered the event causing the event to a premature end.
The athletes were disappointed because the event had to stop but understood this was nature.
Despite of the premature ending, Dynamics managed to win 10 medals.
Chanel Richardson was the most outstanding athlete for Dynamics winning 2 gold medals.
Chanel won the 100m in record time erasing 13.99 with 13.44. She also won the 400m in record time erasing the former time of 1:04"74with a time of 1:03"36 (Girls U-13.)
Carlos Brison won two medals in the Male U-11 Silver in 300m and Bronze in 100m. Niakoy Phillip won two medals in the Male U-11 Bronze in 300m and Silver in the 100m and Sebastiana Reyes won Bronze in the Female 100m U-13.
Oshane Blagrove won Silver in the Male U-15 100m, Jiarah Drijvers won Bronze in the Female U-17 100m and Denzel Washington won Silver in the MaleU-17 100m.
Other athletes who competed were Jada Jolly and Jay Ambris.
Coaches were Abdule Wattley, Louis Richardson, and Alain Richardson. Dynamics will now pause and resume training in October.
