WILLEMSTAD--Curaçao’s national soccer team consisting mostly of players active in the Netherlands and elsewhere in Europe beat Puerto Rico 4-2 Tuesday night in San Juan to reach the Caribbean Cup Finals and qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2017 as well.
The country’s footballers had fallen behind 0-2 but tied the game to send it into extra time and then added two more goals to seal the victory. Leandro Bacuna of Aston Villa scored twice, while Rangelo Janga and Felitciano Zschusschen also found the net.
