The wife of the late Sinclaire Vanterpool threw the first pitch to open the Coach Coconut Man Softball Tournament at the Little League Ballpark on Pond Island. Teams participating were 'Palm Tours' from Aruba, 'Ilegales' from French side and Winward Islands Bank, No Limit and Controllers from St. Maarten. In the opening round Ilegales beat Controllers 11-8 and Controllers beat No Limit 7-5. The Controllers won the tournament 14-7. Ilegals placed second and No Limit was third. The Best batter was Philipe Richardson and the Best Pitcher was Malacai Williams. The Controllers hosted the tournament in remembrance of the late Coach.
