Cincinnati Reds scout James Stoekel was on St. Maarten to conduct baseball try outs of young athletes age 15 and up at John Cooper Jose Lake Sr. Ballpark Tuesday.
The try outs were organized in conjunction with the Baseball International School on St. Maarten. Approximately two dozen athletes showed up to show case their talents. St. Maarten National Team Coach Tony Rombley was impressed by the prospects and said scout Stoekel had his eye on approximately five.
