Anguilla Cricket team heads to Antigua for 50 Overs tournament

ANGUILLA—A 15 man squad of Anguillian cricketers left for Antigua on Thursday, October17 along with manager Rodney Rey and team coach Terrance Adams. They are one of five countries taking part in the Leeward Islands Cricket Board 50 Overs cricket tournament which begins on 18 October.  


  The other countries participating are Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis. Anguilla will take the field against Antigua at 9:30am on Friday.
 Anguilla’s team is led by its captain, Jahmar Hamilton, the leading wicket keeper in the region as well as the West Indies team wicket/batsman, along with Vice Captain Montcin Hodge, West Indies A team player.  Rey said the tournament will end on October 27 and that he expects to be welcomed back when they bring back the trophy.
