380 beds leave ballpark in a community relief effort

POND ISLAND--There were no home runs hit out of the Little League Stadium on Pond Island Saturday, but a lot of relief supplies did leave. A total of 380 beds, 925 dining chairs, 340 sheet sets and 120 sofas were passed out by Make St. Maarten Great Again and Care For The Kids Of St. Maarten foundations over the course of the weekend.


Helping collect the information on people in need and unload the two 40-foot track containers and dististribute the supplies were Police Force, K1 Brittania, Sunshine Foundation, Little Leauge and The Rotary.
The supplies were donated by Leenbakker and Kwantum from the Netherlands. The local coordinators were Myrle Scarborough, Dorian Neijs and Tjandra Lake.
