NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Regardless of development, this system is expected to bring strong winds, coastal flooding, and rough surf to portions of the mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States coasts through late week.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

  1. An area of low pressure located several hundred miles east-northeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina is producing showers and a few thunderstorms. This system is merging with the low off the northeast coast of the United States, and therefore development of this system is no longer expected.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent.
