Dear Editor,
Please allow me some space in your newspaper to address Mr. Clive Hodge.
Clive, this is to let you know that I am one of the many who love to read your articles in which you approach today's issues from a biblical perspective. Not everybody will like this nor agree with your point of view. Especially those who adhere to moral relativism and those who support political correctness.
We are living in a time when the lawgiver is re-writing the laws with the hot breath of the autonomous man in his neck.
Jesus clearly instructs us in Mathew 7 to "enter through the narrow gate." "For wide is the gate and broad the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it, but small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it."
The greater the claim, the greater the implications and the stronger the rejections.
Do not consider "narrow mindedness" as an insult, but as a badge of honour. You are in good company!
Thank God we live in a democratic country with precious freedoms – as freedom of expression and freedom of religion. (Not freedom from religion!)
Clive, do you think that we live to see the day when they will also legalize counterfeit money?
Your narrow minded brother,
Helmich Snijders
