Dear Editor,
This morning while driving from Philipsburg towards the airport the words of our Prime Minister about people wanting to commit suicide popped in my mind and for good reason.
There are indeed many suicidal people on the island and this is most clear in traffic, I could not believe the amount of hopelessly reckless drivers, clearly suicidal, passing me in blind turns, passing me while there was traffic coming head on, passing me at breakneck speed.
So I would like to repeat the words of the Prime Minister (slightly altered): If you all want to commit suicide, please do so elsewhere and not on a stretch of road where I or other people are already driving. I prefer to come home in one piece.
On the same note, taxi drivers should allow other road users to pass if they crawl at 30km/hr with passengers on a tour and gypsies have to stop braking like idiots for every person standing on the side of the road.
Unhappy road user
