Winair suspends Dominica flights

AIRPORT--Windward Islands Airways International Winair has suspended its flights between Dominica and St. Maarten due to field conditions in the nature isle. The island was pummelled with rains and floods from Tropical Storm Erika on Thursday.

Winair said in a press statement on Friday that it will provide further information on status of this service once it receives field reports for the Airport Authorities in Dominica. Winair said affected passengers will be accommodated on flights subject to availability and its storm policy will be in effect allowing re-accommodation at no cost to the customer. "Winair realises the inconvenience caused and will continue to do our best to serve you," the airline said.
