William Marlin new Chair of Parliament, Brison First Vice Chair, Mercelina Second

 

 PHILIPSBURG--National Alliance (NA) Member of Parliament (MP) William Marlin was on Wednesday elected as the new Chairperson of Parliament. Of the twelve MPs who participated in the voting, nine voted for Marlin and there were three blank votes.

  United St. Maarten Party (US Party) MP Rolando Brison was elected as the First Vice Chairperson of Parliament and independent MP Dr. Luc Mercelina as Second Vice Chair. As in the case with MP Marlin, nine of the 12 MPs who participated, voted for Brison and Mercelina for their respective posts and three votes were blank.

  The voting was held at the start of the continuation of a meeting on the state of affairs of education and the Education Care Center, which was held on Wednesday afternoon. Marlin acted in his new capacity as Chair for that meeting.
