PHILIPSBURG--The Windward Islands Civil Servants' Union/Private Sector Union (WICSU/PSU) held an emergency meeting with staff of the Fire Department on Friday morning, as result of concerns over the safety of staff and health issues they face.
WICSU/PSU president Sophia Peterson told The Daily Herald the union had called the meeting to hear the Fire Department staff’s grievances and collectively come up with solutions.
This newspaper understands that the union plans to meet with Fire Department Chief Clive Richardson on Monday, November 18, to further discuss the staff’s grievances.
