SUCKER GARDEN--Three men were arrested on Monday, September 8, for possession of a firearm. The men were seen driving a vehicle with licence plate M11919 on Arch Road around 3:00am, when the vehicle was stopped by a police patrol.
The occupants of the vehicle were reported to have been involved in a dispute at a popular nightclub on A.Th. Illidge Road shortly before. During the dispute, a gun was said to have been pulled by the driver of the car.
A search of the vehicle revealed a .22 calibre pistol underneath the driver's seat of the vehicle. The driver and two passengers were arrested for possession of an illegal firearm. All three men were taken to Philipsburg Police Station for questioning by detectives. The victim involved in the dispute was advised to file charges.
