Island Governor Jonathan Johnson.

SABA--Island Governor of the public entity Saba Jonathan Johnson has been reappointed for his third term of office. Johnson, who has been Saba’s governor since July 2, 2008, was reappointed by royal decree of April 24, 2020, on the recommendation of State Secretary of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops.

Johnson’s reappointment shows the Dutch government’s appreciation for Johnson’s work “and his contribution towards the administrative stability of Saba,” National Department Caribbean Netherlands RCN said in a statement on Tuesday.

The reappointment takes effect on July 1, 2020, and aligns with the present term of appointment.

“The State Secretary for Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations congratulates the Island Governor with his reappointment and looks forward to a constructive cooperation,” RCN stated.
