PHILIPSBURG--TelEm closed its Carrefour Supermarket branch on Bush Road with immediate effect on Tuesday until further notice. The company’s main branch in Philipsburg is now extended also until further notice.

According to TelEm Group, one of the main reasons for closing the branch had to do with ongoing construction work at the location. Another reason given is the movement of staff to the TelEm Building to enhance customer services there.

Human Resources and Development Manager Shadira Richardson said the Bush Road location was popular with customers because it remained open outside of regular office hours for payments and other transactions.

“Due to the closure of the Bush Road branch we will be accommodating customers by opening the main office on Pond Island until 7:00pm in the evening and between 8:00am and 4:00pm Saturdays,” said Richardson.

TelEm management apologised to customers for the sudden notice of closure and will keep customers informed of future developments regarding the branch.
