Six political parties wanting to participate in Curaçao’s early elections on April 28 and currently without representation in Parliament had to seek endorsement for their respective candidate lists in a pre-qualification round weekend on Saturday and Sunday. They needed 792 votes each, one per cent of the valid turnout when the country last went to the polls in October 2016. The six “new” parties are DP, PUSH, MKP, FOL/PAN, PIN/MS and LKKK. Up to press time there was no word on the final result.
