Posters of the eight parties contesting this coming Sunday’s Territorial Council Election first round in Marigot are seen on a billboard in La Savanne. Their low key appearance is in direct contrast to the extravagant giant posters highlighting candidates for Dutch-side elections. Strict French campaigning rules prohibit such advertising. Billboards like this one as well as flags on the side of the roads depicting the colours of the various parties can be seen around the French side.
