SURFACE WINDS:

Today through Monday morning: Easterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 12 to 20 miles per hour, with higher gusts possible.

SYNOPSIS:

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave passing through the region will account for cloudiness and showers across the local area. Shower activity will reduce the concentration of Saharan dust. Additionally, the Atlantic high pressure ridge will maintain brisk winds.
Moderate sea condition are expected for the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue exercising caution.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate              WAVES/SWELLS: 5 to 7 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE: 
At 5am the center of subtropical storm Beryl was located over the northern Atlantic Gulf Stream. This system is moving towards the northeast at 3 miles per hour and is expected to degenerate into a remnant low pressure system tonight or early Monday. Subtropical Storm Beryl does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.

OUTLOOK through Tuesday morning:Partly cloudy, slightly hazy and breezy, becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers.
