The Roman Catholic Church conducted a re-enactment of Palm Sunday. The Jeems and Bethel Methodist Churches held a combined ceremony where attendees were seen marching through the streets, led by Layo Woodley, who rode a donkey. Bethel Methodist Reverend Telford Matthew was seen marching and singing as the marchers made their way up Fort Oranjestraat, around Mansionweg and down Queen Beatrix Road to the Bethel Methodist Chapel where a service was held.

Palm Sunday was also observed at other religious organisations. Churches and Christians are currently observing the Lenten season, which will lead up to Good Friday and Easter.
