Speakers arrive for seventh Sustainability Conference

ST. EUSTATIUS--Speakers arrived for the seventh annual Sustainability Conference on Wednesday night around 7:40. The Sustainability Conference will take place today, Thursday, and tomorrow, Friday, at Mike van Putten Youth Centre, starting at 8:30am. St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) is hosting the conference.

The two-day conference will have a wide variety of speakers whose topics will expand on conference theme “Embracing Environmental Health and Wellness.”

The Taste of Culture culinary event will be combined with the Conference. There will be 16 booths at Taste of Culture which includes countries such as St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, Montserrat, Venezuela, China, Dominican Republic and Suriname. There will also be a Kid’s Place.

Taste of Culture Sustainability Conference Edition will be held at Mike van Putten Youth Centre, 6:00pm-9:00pm. The night-time event will see quite a few performers taking to the stage, such as Daughters of the King dancers, GVP Drama Club, Killy Killy Band, Governor de Graaff School Groups, and musical entertainment by DJ Sense.
