MAHO--The St. Maarten/St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) will be staged at the newly-reopened Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Casino and Spa from May 21 to 23. SMART is the largest and most well-known trade show in the North-eastern Caribbean.
SMART is a collaboration of L’Association des Hoteliers de St. Martin, St. Martin Tourism Office, St. Maarten Tourist Bureau and St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association. The organizers expect numerous tour operators, travel agents, travel writers and event planners from the United States, Canada and Latin America to return to the island for this well-known regional event.
SMART kicks off on Tuesday, May 21, when delegates have the opportunity to meet and mingle with their peers at the welcome reception, before two full days of business, where participants have set up appointments with travel partners and wholesalers, as well as hotel and excursion operations for one-on-one discussions on potential business ventures. Tours will be provided to experience the island.
