CAY HILL--The National Institute for Professional Advancement (NIPA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Smart Concepts 721 for the two to partner for students at the institute to gain knowledge from the company.

Under the MoU, NIPA’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) students will undergo job training at the company starting this year.

NIPA said in a press release on Thursday that both parties are excited at the prospects that such a partnership will bring. Smart Concepts 721 is specialized in home and business automation services. Thus, NIPA students will gain experience in consultations, sales, installation, programming and maintenance of products such as air-conditioning units, cameras, shutters and garage gates, while completing their internship at the establishment.

“NIPA intends to continue to build relationships and partnerships with businesses in St. Maarten to contribute to student success by providing them with quality education and relevant experience,” it was stated in the release.
