NEVIS--Reports of a shooting incident in Cotton Ground, Nevis, Monday morning, which left a woman dead, have been confirmed.
A police source has confirmed that one woman died as a result of her injuries. The women were reportedly returning home from a bingo game, when the car they were in was attacked.
They were taken to the Alexandra Hospital on Government Road with gunshot wounds.
The car that they were in bore several bullet holes. There has been no confirmation on how many persons were involved in what is said to be an attempted robbery or on whether other persons were in the vehicle.
