Second earthquake loud, but without much shaking

POINTE BLANCHE--It was the loud rumble let out by the earth and not the shaking that sent some residents running for safety on Monday night.

The loud quake, the second in three days, occurred some 19 kilometres from St. Eustatius or 11 km from Dieppe Bay Town in St. Kitts around 8:18pm. Coincidently, Friday's 2:00am quake, a 4.5 on the Richter Scale, occured in the same vicinty.

This latest one was slightly less in magnitude measuring 4.3 on the scales, and farther away than Friday's which was nine km from Dieppe Bay Town.

Many residents reported hearing loud rumbling from the earth.
