Management, staff and pupils of Hillside Christian Schools Helmich Snijders Campus decided to get involved in the Breast Cancer Awareness programme.
During their weekly assemblies in October, management spoke to the pupils by means of skit and transcript concerning awareness, early detection and prevention of breast cancer. The school held several fundraising sales of pink ice-pops and pink cotton candy last month. On October 29, the school donated a generous portion of the funds generated from the fundraisers to Positive Foundation. Positive Foundation President Sherry Alphonso received the donation and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the idea and donation.
