Sailors Lounge set up at Walter Plantz Square

PHILIPSBURG--A sailors lounge will be set up at Walter Plantz Square courtesy of Port St. Maarten for St. Maarten Heineken Regatta that officially starts today, Friday. The lounge will be open for sailors during the St. Maarten by the Sea segment of the regatta. 

  Sailors will receive a VIP experience in the lounge. Daily prizes will be awarded to regatta participants and a round of Heineken beers will be provided to all sailors.

  The Port is a premier sponsor of the 37th edition of the country’s sailing event. Port management said they recognized the importance of this annual sailing event to the destination. “We see the importance of such an event and have become a key sponsor in order to ensure that the regatta success continues for many more years,” Management said.
