This Afternoon through Wednesday midday: Generally cloudy, hazy and breezy, with isolated showers.

SURFACE WINDS:
This Afternoon through Wednesday midday: Northeasterly with a moderate to fresh breeze of 13 to 20 mph, with higher gusts.

SYNOPSIS:
Lingering moisture and instability associated with a dissipating frontal boundary will account for cloudy skies and isolated showers across the local area. Long period northerly swells are invading the regional waters. As a result, hazardous sea conditions can be expected for the next couple of days, with swells peaking near 10 feet today. Small craft and high surf advisories remain in effect, particularly along the northern and eastern coasts of the island. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.

STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to rough WAVES/SWELLS: 7 to 10 feet
