Instability and moisture associated with a passing surface trough may cause some showers and possible thunder today. However, a drier and more stable air mass moving into the local area will lower the chances for precipitation during the latter part of this forecast period. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high pressure system will maintain gentle to moderate winds. Slight to moderate seas are expected through the next few days.
