Reshuffling and Appointment New Members Gumbs cabinet.
Harbour View – On September 2nd, 2015, His Excellency the Governor of Sint Maarten, drs. E.B. Holiday, received the final report regarding the reshuffling and appointment new ministers of the current Marcel F. Gumbs cabinet.
The Prime Minister has nominated the following persons for appointment as new Ministers:
1. Mr. R.A. Boasman, Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor;
2. Mr. E.V. Sams, Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication;
Furthermore, the Prime Minister nominated the current Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication, Mr. Claret M. Connor, for the position of Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment & Infrastructure.
The vetting of the three nominated Ministers, based on the pertinent regulations regulating the appointment of ministers, has not produced any data that could impede their appointment and swearing-in.
The Governor has scheduled the appointment and swearing-in of the new Ministers on Monday, September 7th, 2015, 15.30 hours, at the Governor’s Cabinet.
