PPRN report presented to investigative commissioner

President Daniel Gibbs holds the PPRN report which was presented to an investigative commissioner last week.

 

 

MARIGOT--A file on the Collectivité’s proposals and recommendations pertaining to the natural risks prevention plan PPRN containing the conclusions of the appointed Steering Committees (COPIL) and the Technical Committees (COTECH) was presented to one of the investigating commissioners on Wednesday, October 23. The official delivery of the document will be done at the Préfecture before October 31.

  The file included a contribution and opinion from Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et de l'Environnement (CAUE): Opinion of the CAUE and contributions from an architectural firm based in Saint-Martin, a contribution from the French hoteliers association, a contribution from EcoVie regarding proactive solutions, tsunami management and renewable energy, a contribution from the co-owners of Club Orient (COPRO) and a contribution from Working Group 1: Spatial Planning and Economic Development: COTECH documents and COPIL presentation, economic development proposals, notes on the PPRN revision for  St. Martin, and St. Martin Urban Planning Code.

  Since June, the Collectivité has asked for a period of additional consultation and explanation for the benefit of the people of St. Martin, as well as taking into account the socio-economic challenges of the territory in the future PPRN.
