PPB meets with Giterson on Philipsburg improvement

PHILIPSBURG--Representatives of the Philipsburg Promotional Board (PPB) met with Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI Miklos Giterson on Friday, May 3, to discuss a range of issues related to the improvement of Philipsburg.

Issues discussed during the meeting, which was held at Giterson’s office, included making Philipsburg more pedestrian friendly, garbage management in town, street lighting, and beautification including several projects to enhance the economic and social environment of Philipsburg.

Representing PPB at the meeting were its Treasurer Peter Mirpuri, Hospitality Director Paul Boetekees and President Valentin Davis.

PPB aims to work with government and the private sector to make improvements in the capital to grow its day-time economy and revitalize its night life.
