‘Pot canyon’

This “swimming pool” on Welfare Road is getting larger by the day and is forcing drivers into the oncoming traffic lane. The road network continues to deteriorate faster since Hurricane Irma on September 6, but patch work has been slow at best. Many drivers are now questioning the point of paying the annual Road Tax when this does not translate into immediate road repairs. The Road Tax, though labelled as such, is not put into a separate account by Government for road works. The funds are pooled into the general coffers of Government. (John Halley photo)
