Rotary Mid-Isle new President and Secretary Elect 2018-2019

PHILIPSBURG--Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle has announced that Rotarian Denise Antrobus is President-Elect and Aernout Kraaijeveld is Secretary-Elect for the Rotary year 2018-2019.

  Antrobus said she was honoured to be selected to lead the Rotary family of Mid-Isle during the year 2018-2019. She thanked the committee of past presidents for choosing her to represent Mid-Isle during the next Rotary Year and said she is humbled that they have placed their faith and trust in her. She currently serves on the Mid Isle board as Secretary and Public Image Director, and is also the Public Image Area Coordinator. Kraaijeveld arrived from the Netherlands in 2010, making St. Maarten his home. He works as an attorney and is the current President of the St. Maarten Bar Association. He has also served for three years as a Mental Health Foundation board member and two years as a board member of the Foundation for Professional Education for attorneys.

  In addition, he is one of the few certified mediators on the island and uses his knowledge and training to create a more peaceful and harmonious St. Maarten. he presently serves on the board of Mid Isle as the Disaster Chair.

  Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle meets at Pineapple Pete in Simpson Bay on Tuesdays at 7:00pm.
