A number of bands and deejays are participating this year. “This jump-up is also expected to pull a very large crowd of revellers and onlookers, both from persons living on the island and visitors to the island,” according to police.

The jump-up will start on Walter Nisbeth Road, heading towards Freedom Fighter roundabout at 4:00am Saturday. At the roundabout the jump-up will make a left turn onto  Sucker Garden Road to Arch Road, A.Th. Illidge Road, Walter Nisbeth Road, Salt Pickers roundabout and Soualiga Boulevard, ending in front of Carnival Village.

The police request that the community and visitors to the island take all necessary precautions to safeguard their homes when leaving to attend any event during this season and to be safe.
