Parliamentary tour

Members of the Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Affairs Committee, accompanied by Minister of Education Wycliffe Smith and civil servants from the ECYS and Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI Ministries made working visits on Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, to Oranje School, Marie Genevieve de Weever School, Dr. Alma Fleming Care Centre  (Prince Willem-Alexander School), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School, Leonald Connor School, Ruby Labega School and St. Maarten Vocational Training School.

The majority of these public education schools are still experiencing water leakage in the classrooms and many windows are broken, amongst much other damage to be fixed. The committee was informed that repairs are scheduled to be carried out soon.
