PHILIPSBURG--NAGICO Insurances presented the winners of the Calypso Competition with their cash prizes during a brief ceremony in the company’s conference room recently.
NAGICO’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Insurances Justin Woods and Chief Underwriting Officer Bhardwaj Raghubir presented the prizes.
The company also congratulated the winners on their outstanding performances which not only resulted in them being the crowned winners, but also in putting on a successful show. “It is good to see so many avid participants competing for the coveted crown and showcasing the raw talent and creativity we have here in St. Maarten,” NAGICO said in a press release.
“We also want to recognise and applaud the new Monarch Zaharia Richardson, who was the only female competitor this year and after her amazing performances emerged the winner.”
The company’s management team personally extended congratulations to Richardson and the runners-up. The calypsonians and representatives of the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation who were also present, thanked NAGICO Insurances for their continued support to the art form over the years and for their generous donation to this year’s 50th celebration.
