MPs to talk prison and police today

PHILIPSBURG--Members of Parliament and Justice Minister Cornelius de Weever will talk in a Central Committee sitting today, Wednesday, about the Progress Committee report on the Police Force and the Pointe Blanche prison, as well as proposed measures to improve the deplorable conditions at both. The meeting in Parliament House starts at 10:00am.

  This meeting was requested by MPs Frans Richardson and Rolando Brison of the United St. Maarten Party and MPs Silveria Jacobs, Egbert Doran, Christophe Emmanuel, William Marlin and Ardwell Irion of National Alliance.
