Mosquito fogging scheduled for Mon.

PHILIPSBURG--The Health Ministry’s Collective Prevention Services (CPS) will carry out mosquito fogging on Monday, December 4, from 6.00am to 8.00am and again from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.

The fogging will start in Lowlands, Rhine Road, Cupecoy, University Drive, Maho Reef, Airport Road, Beacon Hill, Simpson Bay Village, Pelican, Cole Bay, Cay Bay, Orange Grove, Diamond and Almond Grove Estate. If for some reason the Vector Control Unit cannot manage to fog in these areas in the two-and-a-half hour timeframe, it will continue the next day and will indicate in which areas and days fogging will take place, it was stated in a press release.

Residents living in the areas to be fogged on Monday are advised to leave all of their doors and windows open to allow the insecticide to enter their building or house; avoid pets from coming in contact with the insecticide; toys for children should be covered or stored away and food and drinks should be covered.

Additional information about mosquito borne diseases such as dengue fever, Zika and chikungunya and their prevention measures can be obtained by calling CPS at tel. 542-2078, 542-3003 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
