PHILIPSBURG-- Utilities company GEBE announced around noon that it was experiencing issues at its power plant. It did not specify what those issues were.
As a result of the issues being experienced, the areas of Pelican as well as parts of Philipsburg and Pointe Blanche are/will be out of power. GEBE media relations officer Paula Gordon did not indicate in a brief media statement when the power is expected to be back on and whether other areas will also be affected during the day. She said further updates will be provided once received.
