MFK wants vote recount

WILLEMSTAD--“Movementu Futuro Korsou” (MFK) wants a recount of votes in some polling stations, announced party leader and former Curaçao Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte.

According to him there were irregularities at three voting bureaus and the votes there should be recounted.

For the MFK this is important, because the difference between it and the biggest party MAN was just 300 votes. They both got four seats though, as did PAR.

Whether the Supreme Electoral Council (SEC) will honour MFK’s request is not yet clear. SEC still has to publicly present the official final result.
