Tonight through Monday morning: Cloudy to overcast and windy with isolated to scattered showers, some of which could be heavy with thunderstorms.

SURFACE WINDS:
Today: Northeast to southeast with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 17 miles per hour with higher gusts possible.
Tonight through Monday morning: Northeast to southeast with moderate breeze to near gale of 13 to 33 miles per hour with higher gusts.

SYNOPSIS:
Conditions will begin to deteriorate as tropical storm Danny approaches. An increase in wind speed and shower activity with possible thunderstorms are expected from later tonight into Monday. Additionally, sea conditions will become above normal with the highest peak on Monday during the passing of the tropical storm. All small craft operators are advised to remain in port and persons with interests along the coast should secure their properties as a rough sea advisory is in effect.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate                WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 8 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:
At 5am, the center of tropical storm Danny was located at 15.8 N 56.0 W or about 430 miles east-southeast of St. Maarten. It is moving west-northwest at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds decreased to near 50 mph.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of this system and issue Special Weather Bulletins.

OUTLOOK through Tuesday morning: Becoming increasingly cloudy and windy with scattered to numerous showers and isolated to scattered thunder.
