PHILIPSBURG--Acting Chairperson of Parliament, Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Wescot-Williams said she received a request signed by nine MPs late Monday for a meeting to appoint a new chairperson and second vice-chairpersons of Parliament.
She said in a press statement issued on Tuesday that the MPs requested that these agenda points be added to the continuation of the public meeting scheduled for today, Wednesday, September 25, on the Status of Education, which is an ongoing meeting.
She said given the urgency of the request, she scheduled a new public meeting for the agenda points to appoint the chairpersons of Parliament on Thursday, September 26, at 10:00am.
