Maximum prices issued for hurricane supplies

PHILIPSBURG--The maximum prices for hurricane-related supplies have been established and are in effect August 1 through November 30, the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication (TEATT) announced on Thursday.

It is therefore forbidden to sell any listed items for more than the maximum prices stipulated during this period. The detailed list covers maximum prices set for food and groceries, building materials, water and batteries.

The full list is available in the “Public Announcements” section on Government’s website

www.sintmaartengov.org under the TEATT section. The list also is published on the Government Facebook site and will be distributed through the newspapers, the ministry announced.

The public will be notified by means of an announcement, also through the National Gazette, when this regulation is no longer in effect.
