MARIGOT--Maritime School of the West Indies (MSWI) instructed a Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW 2010), a Small Powerboat, Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), and a VHF course to a total of 25 captains, crew and aspiring crew last week to close off a busy mega-yacht season.

Instructors Maaike van Mameren, Marco London and Nini Bourdier worked throughout the well-attended six-day courses to teach all aspects of the subjects requested to receive Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and worldwide certificates.

The Maritime School will start again with the first STCW 2010 course on Monday, October 14, 2019, when the new yachting season approaches. The STCW 2010, Small Powerboat and RIB, and VHF courses are instructed once a month. The Master 200 Ton, Hospitality Course and others are instructed several times during the season.
