LU middle school spelling bee a hit

Winners of the LU Spelling Bee with teachers last week.

BELAIR--Middle School students of Learning Unlimited (LU) Preparatory School participated in their annual Spelling Bee recently. Preparations for this event started several weeks ago and all students from grades 6 to 8 were given chance to participate in the first round, conducted in their classrooms.

Winners of the semifinal round entered the finals conducted in the LU gymnasium and attended by the middle and high school students. The Spelling Bee’s mission is to provide a great opportunity for the students to improve their spelling whilst having fun.

Spelling Bees help students not only to improve their spelling, but also to increase their vocabulary and learn concepts that develop correct English usage in their daily lives.

The event was organized by LU Middle School Coordinator Preeti Notani and all Middle School English teachers.
