Lopez Ramirez sworn in as member of Central Bank’s Supervisory Board

PHILIPSBURG--Julian Lopez Ramirez was sworn in Tuesday by Governor of St. Maarten Eugene Holiday as member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS).

  Lopez Ramirez was the seventh member of the Supervisory Board to be sworn in, as a result of which the Supervisory Board is now at full strength.

  The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Supervisory Board and by members of the CBCS Board of Directors Leila Matroos-Lasten and José Jardim.

  During their visit to St. Maarten, the Central Bank’s Supervisory Board and Board of Directors seized the opportunity to visit interim Prime Minister Rafael Boasman.

  During this meeting, the Supervisory Board and Board of Directors agreed to work on the further development and optimal utilization of the CBCS branch in St. Maarten.

  The CBCS also expressed willingness to assist the government of St. Maarten in the reconstruction of the island, where necessary.
