PHILIPSBURG--Local artist and entrepreneur Lucinda “LaRich” Audain last Wednesday critiqued the artwork of Charlotte Brookson Academy (CBA) for the Performance Arts students in a review session, as they prepare for the upcoming Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams.

The art review and discussion session, which was themed “Meet and Critique,” was organised by CBA’s Visual Arts Instructor Zestia Shigemoto-Duncan.

During the event, Audain spoke with students about how she personally prepared for her Caribbean Examinations Council CXC art exam and the importance of art in St. Maarten. She also spoke about illustration techniques, water colour, oils, portrait painting, colour awareness, learning to interpret art, time management and nurturing your creativity.

Audain received a sample painting from each student and she encouraged students to remain dedicated towards the arts in St. Maarten.
