PHILIPSBURG--Jolly Jumpers Foundation announced on Wednesday the launch of Razzle Dazzle Confetti, the Kiddies Carnival Group that will be participating in the upcoming celebration of fifty years of St. Maarten Carnival.

Jolly Jumpers Foundation was a strong pillar in the development of St. Maarten Carnival from 1988 to 2003, participating in the parades with floats and jolly revellers. In commemoration of 50 years of Carnival, a small team of old Jolly Jumpers revellers decided to come together and bring back the children’s troupe for the Kiddies Parade, according to the foundation Wednesday.

“The astounding interest of our members to showcase how it was done and still can be done has led to our decision to put our troupe together for this Golden Celebration,” they said. “The foundation is confident that the troupe will be a great delight during the Kiddies Parade, with music provided by DJ King Kembe, guaranteeing the kids a fun time.”

Parents can register their children ages 5-14 at J.H. de la Fuente Street 18, Cole Bay, Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 7:00pm, and on Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Boys were not excluded from the troupe.
